Such a precious metal
Lithium is found throughout the world in its natural state. It is most often found either in solid form as an ore directly embedded in rock or in underground brines combined with other mineral salts. However, its extraction under reasonable conditions requires minimal concentration.
It has long been used in the glass, ceramics, grease and polymer industries, in medicine to combat bipolarity for example, and has for several years become a major component of electric batteries. These lithium batteries, initially intended for the electronics market, have gradually become an essential solution for electric vehicles for many years to come. Driven by the automotive sector, its demand will grow exponentially. It is therefore becoming essential to secure its production and supply.
